See the Vesuvio and visit the ruins of Pompeii where you see evidences of former volcanic eruptions. Journey along the wonderful Amalfi Coast and enjoy a boat trip will to the enchanting Island of Capri and to its famous grottoes before your grand tour of charming Italy ends in the ancient city of Rome wher you also visit the home of the Pope, the Vatican .....!


Day 01 - Arrive Airport Milan in Italy

A warm welcome awaits you upon arrival Milan, followed by a bus-transfer to your hotel in the city. In the evening you are invited for a welcome reception and for rich dinner at your hotel. (D/ OV)


Day 02 - Bus Charter Tour Milan - Sightseeing and Monza

A sightseeing tour of Milan is waiting for you this morning. You will see its landmark, the 14th century Duomo, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Among other sights of the lively capital of Italy‘s Lombardy, you will explore Castello Sforzesco, a huge mansion of the former Dukes and the Teatro alla Scala, built during the 18th century with an impressive museum to view from one of the boxes of the magnificent auditorium. - Take som free time at Milan‘s most celebrated shopping arcades of Vittorio Emanuele. - After this break, a side trip will take you to Monza, home of the famous racing circuit where the annual Grand Prix Formula One takes place. Day 03 - Bus-Excursion to Como, Lugano, Locarno and Lago Maggiore

This morning starts wih a bus-transfer along an unforgettable scenery to Italy‘s beautiful lake district. You reach Como where an city bus-tour is waiting for you and you visit Comos remarkable Cathedral of the 14th centureý with its splendid interior of Renaissance decoration. Next, explore Villa Olmo and enjoy the great view of Como and its beautiful lakeside setting from here before you continue at Lugano in Switzerland. Lugano is situated between the gentle peaks of the two mountains Salvadore and Mt. Bre. You will be visiting Parco Civico, a beautiful park right next to the lake here. - Enjoy som free time to browse around before you continue with you bus-charter-tour to Locarno. The Swiss resort is wll known for its annual Film Festival on dream-like Lago Maggiore. The Lago Maggiore shares it shores with Italy. Later you visit the pilgrim church "Madonna del Sasso" where you enjoy another impressive panoramic view of the lake and the remarkeable Swiss Alps. - After a bustour along magnificent villas and tropical plants you go on a boat cruise to Isola Madre. The Island is covered with enchanting gardens of flowers and an exotic vegetation. Day 04 - Bus Trip to Milan - Verona - Abano Terme / Venice

After your rich breakfast you leave Milan to Verona. Take a bus-citytour of this former home and rest place of Romeo and Juliet and see fine buildings of Roman and Venetian architecture, the fortified Castle Vecchio with its open-air amphitheater of the first century with a seating capacity to accommodate 25.000 people. - Enjoy some free time at Piazza del Signori, an elegant square with a 12th century Town Hall and a number of pallazos. - After the break your bus takes you to Abano Terme near Venice. Day 05 - Bus Excursion to the Treasures of Venice and Murano

After breakfast this morning, your bus drives yout to Venice followed by a boat trip on picturesque Canal Grande, passing historic pallazos and numerous footbridges like the most famous one Ponte di Realto. You arrive Piazza San Marco with its arcades and watchtower Campanile and you will be visiting Palazzo Ducale, a masterpiece of Venetian architecture from the 12th and 13th century. Explore on your own the city with its picturesque little alleys filled with shops for various goods. -Later, in the afternoon you cruise by boat to the glass-making Island of Murano. There you see a demonstration of glass-blowing and you visit the Basilica Santi Maria Donato, a much visited church of great Veneto - Byzantine art with a unique mosaic floor recalling that of St. Mark‘s. - You return to your departure point to enjoy some free time perhaps to enjoy a full experience of a gondola ride .....! Day 06 - Bus-Tours to Abano Terme - Bologna - Montecatini - Terme / Florence

In the morning, after your breakfast, you leave Abano Terme further south for Ferrara, heart of the Po River Plain and known by Vittorio De Sica´s film "The Garden of the Finzi-Contini". Next, your bus takes you to the district of Emilia-Romagna and you arrive at Bologna to visit one of Europe´s oldest universities and remains of Bolognas fortified city wall. Other highlights to visit will be the two Leaning Towers of the 12th century. - Now you continue to Montecatini Terme near Florence, another fashionable thermal spa. Visit the Baroque Villa Garzoni of the 17th century and its splendid gardens showing vistas, grottoes and mazes and creating a lovely and imaginative aspect before check-in at our hotel in Montecatini Terme. Day 07 - Florence Bus Tour

This morning, after a short busdrive you reach Florence, birthplace of Renaissance and a delight for art lovers. Your city-bustour will include the monastery Santa Groce, the city’s oldest bridge Ponte Vecchio lined with unique shops and at beautiful Piazza del Duomo you will visit its Gothic Cathedral of the 13th century, representing a lovely example of Florentine architecture. You visit Piazza della Signoria and see the ancient statues there, including a copy of Michelangelo’s David. Next you are scheduled to visit Galleria degli Uffizi right next to Palazzo Vecchio. Galleria degli Uffizi is one of the world’s finest art museums with a Paining Gallery of important artists, like Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Rubens, Rembrandt, Tintoretto and many others! - Take som free tim now to explore further sights, rest and do some shopping. - In the evening you return to Montecatini Terme for dinner and another overnight in the hotel. Day 08 - Bus Charter Trip Montecatini Terme - Arezzo - Assisi

After your good breakfest your bus drives you through the harmony of the beautiful Tuscanian landscape of low hills planted with olive groves, beautiful vineyards and cypress trees. Your first stop is at the former Etruscan city of Arezzo where you visit the famous Franciscanian Church S. Francesco of the 14th century. The frescoes inside depict the legend of the Holy Cross and other scenes, it is really a milestone in the history of art of the 15th century. - Next your bus takes you south by way of Perugia in the district of Umbria with your next stop at Perugia. Remains of a massive wall and gates give an small impression of this once Middle Age town. You do a bus-citytout to see the Palazzo dei Priori from the 13th century, the Gothic Cathedral and the great fountain Fontana Maggiore. - Later you arrive the city of Assisi surrounded by a wall across the slopes of Monte Subasio. You will be visiting the famous Basilica here, built after the death of St. Francis during the 13th century. Day 09 - Assisi - Montecassino - Sorrento Bus-Transfer

After your breakfast you leave Assisi and journey by bus along the bustling town of Terni to Montecassino, one of the Catholics’ holy places where you see its monastery, founded in the 6th century and unfortunately site of a battle of World War II. Discover the interior of fine marble work, stucco, mosaics and see the tomb enshrining the remains of St. Benedict. - Afterwards your tour leads further south, driving around Naples (you will stop here on the way back to Rome) and arriving resort Sorrento in the district of Campania, known for its unique and beautiful gardens overlooking beautiful Golfo Di Napoli. Day 10 Bus Excursions to Pompeii - Vesuvio and Amalfi Coast

This morning a historical bustour of much interest takes you first to the ruins of Pompeii, buried by an eruption of Mount Vesuvio about 2.000 years ago. You will see several gateways and remains of a forum and columns on Via Abbandanza providing evidence of the 6th century BC. See the Terme Stabiane, the oldest bath in Pompeii that is divided into sections for women and men and Casa di Menandro, a large patrician villa once richly decorated with paintings and mosaics. Next your bus takes you a little outside and you will visit ancient Villa dei Misteri with a beautiful fresco depicts the initiation of a young bride probably a priestess of the Dionysus cult. -Later your charter-bus drives you back from Vietri sul Mare along the Amalfi Coast, Italy’s most beautiful coastline and listed as one of UNESCOs Heritage places since 1997. Day 11 - Florence - Boat Excursion to Capri and Sightseeing

After your rich breakfast you journey takes you to the natural beauty of Isola di Capri where already the Emperors Augustus and Tiberius used the island for their homes. In Marina Grande you take a boat excursion to the Blue Grotto, the most famous among other caves on this island. The refracted light gives the cave a wonderful blue color and a fairy-tale atmosphere... - Later, you return to the departure port and take the funicular railway that connects Maria Grande with the city center of Capri. See the Piazza Umberto, the square and the city’s shopping center here. Or why not take a trip to nearby Belvedere Cannone, a peaceful part of Capri with beautiful and winding alleys and or Villa Jovis, former residence of Emperor Tiberius. - In the later afternoon your boat transfers you back to the mainland right in time for dinner and overnight. Day 12 - Sorrento - Napoli - Rome Bus Charter Tour

Today you are leaving this fascinating countryside and your bus-tour takes you to Naples another highlight of your grand Italy tour and even included in UNESCOs Heritage List. You stop at Palazzo Reale to see the statues of eight famous Kings of Naples and a few yards aside you see an imposing castle of the 13th century, Castel Nuovo, surrounded by a deep moat. - Next you stop for a break at the old city part Piazza Dante to discover ancient Naples and witness the evolution through the centuries... - Now your tour continous to Rome, Italy’s Eternal City and capital of the Roman Empire where you take dinner and stay for overnight. Day 13- Bus-Tour Rome - City Sightseeing incl. Vatican

Your morning tour starts right after breakfast with the famous Colosseo, an ancient arena used for gladitorial contents in the past. You will see Foro Romano, remains of an earlier forum where senate meetings were held before you stop at Fontana di Trevi, a 18th century fountain of Baroque creation with the tradition of throwing two coins over the shoulders to have luck in the future. Next you cross the river Tevere to visit Castel S. Angelo, a beautiful fortress built as a mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian about 2.000 years ago. Now your bus drives you to the Vaticano and St. Peter’s Square where you stop to see first the balcony from which the Pope on Christmas gives his benediction to the City and the World. Inside of the domed Basilica you will see the Chapel of the Pieta, a carved masterpiece by Michelangelo and some further neo-classical designs of monuments. Explore the Baldaquin which crowns the pontifical altar, the Statue of St. Peter and the dome, also designed by Michelangelo emphasizes the gigantic dimensions of this Basilica. - Take som free time in the afternoon to explore, rest or go shopping. Day 14 - Last day of the Tour
