Day 1 - Arriva Cologne, Germany

A warm welcome awaits you upon arrival Cologne. You enjoy a bus-charter tour of Rhineland´s capital Cologne, including its 800-years old and mighty Gothic Cathedral this afternoon followed by bustransfer to your hotel for a welcome reception, dinner and for overnight. (D & OV)

Day 2 - Cruising to Bonn and Andernach

Today the morning is at leisure. Around noon you embark your floating hotel to cruse along the beautiful scenery of deep forest and a mountain range of volcanic hills. You arrive at old river town Andernach soon. Your dinner in the evening is taken on board. (Meals & OV on board)

Day 3 - Travel along Coblence and Loreley to Rüdesheim

This morning you leave Andernach by way of Coblence at the confluence of the Moselle and Rhine rivers, continuing through the historical Rhine Gorge and see the mythical Loreley Rock where legends of mermaids who have lured sailors to their death exit. Later arrive at historical Ruedesheim and walk on charming Drosselgasse, lined with many inviting wine-bars. . (Meals & OV on board)

Day 4 - Passing Mainz and Frankfurt on the way to Aschaffenburg

This morning you cruise along the cities of Mainz and Frankfurt on the Main river with a good view to its great skyline, called "Mainhattan". Your ship cruises through valleys of the wooded Spessarts before you arrive Aschaffenburg, dominated by a Renaissance style palace of the 17th centure. (Meals & OV on board)

Day 5 - Cruising to Miltenberg and Wertheim

This morning you pass old Franconian town of Miltenberg and arrive at Wertheim where the Tauber river and the Main rivers meet. A sightseeing tour will show you the highlights of this lovely town. (Meals & OV on board)

Day 6 - On to Karlstadt and to Wuerzburg

This morning you cruise along the “Woodpecker Forest”, through deep valleys and meadowland of the meandering Main river. You stop at the charming Bavarian town of Karlstadt for a sightseeing and brewery visit. Later, you will arrive Wuerzburg. Your ship docks in the former bishop-city for the night. Day 7 - Cruising District of Franconia to Schweinfurt

After the rich breakfast you go on a Wuerzburg city tour. The City is nestled romantically amid vine-covered hills. You will see one of Germany’s biggest Baroque palaces, completed during the 18th century and former seat of the Prince-Bishops. At noon your cruise continues to the city of Schweinfurt, well known for its fine Renaissance architecture. (Meals & OV on board)

Day 8 - To Bamberg and to Nuremberg

In the morning you depart Schweinfurt and enter the Main-Danube Canal at Bamberg. You visit Bambergs Domplatz and the medieval Cathedral of the 13th century and see the tomb of the Hungarian King Stephen, another masterpiece of the 16th century. In the afternoon rejoin your ship gliding further upstream to Nuremberg. (Meals & OV on board)

Day 9 - Cruise to Riedenburg

After your breakfast a charter-bus takes you on a city bustour of ancient Nuremberg where you visit its restored 15th century Albrecht Duerer Haus, the Town Hall of Nuremberg and beautiful fountains of Gothic style. Around lunch time you continue your cruise and visit the highest point of waterways in Europe with over 1.300 feet above sea level. In the evening your boat arrives at Riedenburg, dominated by its Castle Eggersberg. (Meals & OV on board)

Day 10 - Cruising to Regensburg

Set off this morning on a leisurely cruise first by way of Kehlheim, the confluence region of the Main Canal, the Altmuehl and Danube rivers. At noon time arrive at Regensburg for a sightseeing tour to enjoy masterpieces of ancient architecture, like the Romanesque Tower, Ducal Palace and taking a side trip by motor coach to Walhalla, the German Temple of Fame. Day 11 - Passau

This morning you travel along Eastern Bavaria to Passau, one of Germany’s most beautiful cities with an outstanding setting between three rivers. Take a sightseeing tour and explore this unique town, crowned by a stronghold and fortress of the 13th century – Enjoy a captain’s festive farewell dinner in the evening with local entertainment. Day 12 - Bus Tour from Passau to Munich

After your rich breakfast on board you disembark in Passau and transfer by bus to Munich for a city bustour to visit its landmark Church of Our Lady, the Hofbraeuhaus, former Olympic Ground and visit King Ludwig’s famous Horse Carriage Museum. – In the evening you are invited for a special dinner with local music and folklore entertainment. Day 13 - Bus Tours to Castle Neuschwanstein and Oberammergau

Today you are leaving by bus and take the road to fairy-tale Castle Neuschwanstein of former Bavarian King Ludwig II. You admire an artificial grotto, apartments of Romanesque and Byzantine sanctuary and many rooms recall themes of Richard Wagner’s famous operas inside. At the foothills of the Alps you stop at Oberammergau, home of the original Passion Plays where you can take pictures and get postcards. Later we return to Munich for a last farewell dinner and a surprise drawing with everyone winning a valuable gift. (Meals & OV on board)

Day 14 - The last Day of the Tour

After your rich breakfast at your hotel and with wonderful memories of your tour and extended stay in Munich, a bus-transfer takes you to the airport of Munich for your return flight. (B.)
